From here, we see how Vic ended up in Unova (he hasn't left Unova since this happened), and how he was very close to comitting suicide. I do want to take a moment to just say that at no point, do I condone suicide as a means to any end. There is always a way to solve whatever problems are at hand, no matter how tough things get. I lost a friend recently to suicide, so this part of the story does sting quite a bit for me personally. That said, good characters write themselves, and this line of thinking is fully within his character, thus going ahead with such a story point.

On another note, there IS a purpose to the short history lesson from Alpha as well; said point is just made on the next page, however. |D

Special thanks *SSTG for drawing the City BG in panel 01 of Pg09. I died trying, whereas you actually got it done. Thank you. <3

Goodness~ It's amazing how you bring these pages to life. After seeing the sketch and the end product, it's just like... wow. o___o The color choices and effects are just beautiful. I especially like what you did with the desert here. Panels 3-6 look particularly stunning. I love the sunlight and the blowing sand. <3

I really enjoy how you draw Sigilyphs, by the way. I never know how to make their anatomy work, even though they are one of my favorite Pokemon. The perspective in panel 6 looks gorgeous.

Vic decides to kill himself by cooking to death in a desert. WHY? WHY, CHILD? A "terrible" decision indeed, you goon! Dx
NEXT PAGE~ *runs*

I'll admit, I love drawing deserts/sandy things. I love BGs where I can just slap colour on roughly due to it being nature and rugged and junk. XD

I used to hate BGs, and now and again, I still do, but they're getting easier the more I challenge myself with them, and it certainly makes a difference to have a decent BG in the panels than an overabundance of gradient fills! XD

And as for why he chose the desert? That way if Victor took over - he wouldn't be able to make it back anyway.

I can imagine that deserts are definitely easier than cities or forests. Heh.

I really struggle with BGs. Finding the patience and the correct technique is hard for me.

True... But he could go in a less torturous way. Dear goodness~ At least it works out for him in the end.

Idk if it's a mistake or not but, at panel four, it says: "Logic dictated that the only ( ) to get rid of Victor..."

Great page BTW.

Oh no, that's an actual typo. XD I'll get that sorted. It happens every now and again when I do pages at ridiculous hours of the night/morning. XD

Indeed! And now it's starting to make more sense with how Taz and Vic ended up friends when they've got absolutely nothing in common. XD
